Utah Rural Summit Luncheon presents Jeff Hornacek, New York Knicks Coach and former Jazz Player
Building the right team!
When it comes to teamwork, everyone is vital in his or her role. We recently sat down with New York Knicks head coach Jeff Hornacek to discuss the importance of being a good teammate. “To me, when we talk about roles, one of the biggest roles any individual has is to be a great teammate, and that applies in the business world as well as in sports,” Hornacek said.“As a basketball player, there are a lot of times where it might not be your shot, but if you can drive the ball to the basket with the purpose of collapsing the defense and then pass the ball off to a teammate, you’ve contributed to the team’s success,” he continued. “As a player – for the Suns, the 76ers and the Jazz – I probably got more satisfaction when I made a good pass than I did when I made a shot.”
